This is Baby Blue. Baby Blue is a late 1970s Ford 4600. She’s small but very strong. Farmer Fitz has used her to pull the new sprayer and the flail mower. We are grateful that she still works like she did all those years ago!

Out with the old, in with the new.

The former farmer used this sprayer for a long time and it served him well. Unfortunately for us, its life was over by the time we got ownership of the property. This weekend we bought our first piece of new farm equipment, a 300 gallon Pulblast sprayer. In this video, Tim is doing a test run with water. We learned a couple of things during this test. Meet Farmer Fitz! @farmer_fitz has been hard at work restoring our orchard. Since early February, he and his team have been pruning over 1,200 apple trees, carefully shaping them for a strong and healthy season.

As we move into April, the next phase of rehabilitation begins; spraying the trees with essential nutrients and targeted pest control to ensure a bountiful harvest.

On March 3, 2025, our family embarked on an exciting new journey as the proud owners of Hickory Hill Orchard. After three years of closure, the orchard has faced its share of challenges, weathered fences, overgrown fields, and a spirit longing to be revived. But amidst the neglect, we see endless potential and a future filled with promise.

We’re rolling up our sleeves and diving headfirst into the restoration of this beloved farm. It’s a labor of love, and we invite you to join us on this transformative adventure.
